Older versions of coot
From OS X Scientific Computing
Download and install from a Disk Image. The latest one I have here is the 0.3.3 "stable release" but I have kept some of the earlier versions.
I've tested this on 10.4.10 on intel and ppc. I moved "fink" out of the way when I tested it and it worked, so it should be standalone. Please let me know immediately if it does not work for you. (In general, it is easier for everyone if you use fink to compile this or install binaries from our servers.)
Old:
coot-0.3.3-intel-ppc.dmg.gz (89 MB)
old:
coot-0.3.1-intel-ppc.dmg.gz (87 MB)
old:
coot-0.2.0-intel-ppc.dmg.gz (80 MB)
older:
coot-0.1.2-universal.dmg.gz (125 MB)
Put the file "coot" into /usr/local/coot. The accompanying Launcher Application should be able to go anywhere. You can drag an mtz, pdb, map, etc file onto it, or double-click it to launch.
(On powerpc, you may get a harmless warning like Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate loadable module in module_path: "libxfce.so", ignore it.)
Alternatively, you can download a pre-compiled coot for either ppc or intel here compiled by David Gohara. These permit use with SGI-type dialboxes.
